The e-book discusses how to set up profitable business models for this product and the plants, vegetables, fruits and meat that you can produce with it. The taste of your product is better than the results from hydroponics. The system is easy to move from location to location and it is completely scalable. It is easy to automate and customize for your own needs.Cons
Chemicals and conditions are going to need to be constantly monitored. Back up power generators should be considered in the event of a power outage to keep pumps circulating and grow lights operational. The system may be somewhat complicated and difficult to get set up and may require additional expenditures and muscles! The set-up diagrams in the book were not that clear and sometimes inaccurate.Verdict
Great product to try. Thorough instructions in booklet and videos to help get you going. Six bonus gardening books and a 60-day money back guarantee make this product a win-win. If you are into gardening and with the price of fruit and veggies these days, we all should be, then this is the thing for you.
"Aquaponics 4 You" by John Fay - REVIEW
What is the secret?
Aquaponics is a combination of hydroponics and aqua-culture.† Hydroponics is what you do when you grow plants purely in water with no soil and aqua-culture is the process of growing fish in a tank.† The aquaponics system actually combines the two technologies by growing fish and plants together in the same system.
How does it work?
The fish live in one 380 litre tank, the plants are grown on the top of another 190 litre water tank and a pump circulates water in between the two tanks. This system creates a symbiotic environment whereby the plants are fed by the algae, minerals and nitrates that are released indirectly as ammonia in fish excrement.† Therefore the water is cleaned and filtered for the fish by the plants consuming their "fertilizer".† It is a built in filtration and feeding system. The pump takes care of the exchange of water.
What does the system set up look like?
The plants are floating on bouyant mats on top of the grow tank with their roots dipping into the water.† Minerals are added to the environment to help nourish the fish which are also fed a high protein diet to keep the nitrate level high in the system.† The materials and equipment you need are things you can find around your house or at the hardware store.† There are illustrations in the book you get that demonstrate to you how to set the system up. Your system must be sturdy enough to hold a half ton of water.
The system can be set up indoors or outdoors. Outdoors you can set up a really large system but you will have to depend on constant or moderate temperatures.† The advantage of setting your system up indoors is that you donít have to worry about the seasonal temperature changes but you will need artificial grow lights.
What are users saying about Aquaponics 4 you?
The more positive comments made by users are things like;
ďWith this system you take control over your food supply, growing your own vegetables and producing your own meat. You know where your food came from and itís healthy.Ē
"The 30 page e-book is full of details with sufficient information to allow you to set up the system"
"You can get better tasting produce from aquaponics than you can get from hydroponics alone."
and "The system is easy to take down and transport to a new location". " You can grow your produce without owning any land."
Some other observations made by users had to do with whether or not the food could be classed as† "organic".† They say, the fact that you grow it yourself at home does not make it organic, but rather it is the type of feed you use for the fish, the chemicals you add to the water and the source of the water itself that will determine the purity of the "organic" food you end up producing.
Other users say that it can be expensive to buy the tanks and all of the chemicals necessary to keep things working smoothly and that there is a steep learning curve when it comes to mixing and adding chemicals properly into the mix.†
A great product to help new farmers large and small to get started with a new compact system that produces more food at lower cost and in much less space.† Whether you want to do this for your own family or to sell to others, this kit will provide you with everything you need to know to get started.† If this is your cup of tea I give this product a hearty green thumbs up!
