BabylissPro Nano Titanium Pink Straightening Iron Review From: BabylissPro

Pros
This is an affordable, high quality flat iron and I love the color pink.

Cons
It's not for everyone and not everyone knows how to use these tools properly.

Verdict
All in all, it's a great deal on two great products in one package, especially if you know how to use them correctly.

BabylissPro Nano Titanium Pink Straightening Iron Works Great to Straigthen Hair

I have very long curly hair and there are times when I want to straighten so I can have a change once in a while.  Those of us with curly hair already have issues with dryness so it is important than any products such as flat irons and straightening tools.  Really, anything that produces heat can make already dry hair much more brittle and hard to manage.  There are products that protect the hair but the damage can still be done with the wrong tools.

It has been a long time since I have had to buy a flat iron so I wanted to find something that would make my hair look great without damaging it.  After looking at the BabyblissPro with the U-Style iron I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the flattener and the fact that it is made from titanium.  I had never heard of a titanium straightening iron because I thought that there were all made from ceramic.  I know enough about metals to know that this is a very strong one and that means it lasts for a long time.

The Technical Details

Not only is the Babyliss made from titanium, but it also produces negative ions which help to maintain healthy hair.  All flat irons are considered ionic because an ionic can be eclectically negatively or positively charged.  When hair is heating with a positive ion such as from a ceramic flat iron, the ions are positively charged and that opens up the hair follicles.  When they are open, they lose moisture and become brittle and prone to breakage.  The negative ions actually close open follicles and keeps the moisture locked in the hair shaft making it shinier and softer.

Bonus Iron

Not only do you get the flat iron with this purchase, but you also get a U-Style iron that can also straighten the hair or add a soft curl to the ends of the hair when straightening it.  While other top of the line flat irons cost around one hundred and fifty to two hundred and fifty dollars, this pair is selling for less than a hundred which is a great deal.  The Babybliss is a great name in hair care products so you would think that this set would be much more.  For that reason alone I would make this purchase but the fact that the purchase supports a great cause tops the deal.

Is This Duo for Everyone?

I would say no, maybe not because not everyone knows how to properly use a flat iron or a U-Style iron.  These flat irons can get very hot and those who start off with the highest temperature may find that their hair burns which can be frustrating.  This can make those users think there is something wrong with the iron which there is not.  When using a very high heat, the iron must be moved quickly over the hair.  If you do not do this, your hair will burn.  It is also much better to start at a lower heat setting and work up until you find the temperature that is right for your hair.

Do Others Like It?

Pretty in Pink says, “I talked with my hair stylist, who used the Babyliss PRO Nano Titanium and loves that it heats up to 400+ degrees with options for lower settings and works great on her client's hair, including mine.”
Brittnee adds, “This is the best straightener that I have ever owned. I have owned a Chi as well as a Remington straightener before this one and both of them were not able to get my hair as straight as this one. The extra 50 degrees makes a huge difference! I have also cut down my time by about 15 minutes as it typically took me anywhere from 20-30 minutes to do my hair before and now it only takes me 15 minutes at the maximum!”

Conclusion

It is my opinion that this would be a great combination not just because of the price but because of the overall quality of the flatiron.  I could see people who have a great deal of experience using a tool like this getting many years of use out of it.  The novice may not have the same luck and may want to opt for a less expensive flatiron until they become more proficient in using one.
