To get a complete understanding of the Elegant Themes Premium WordPress Theme Club membership it is important to understand what it is, who it is for and what you will need to get started.

WordPress - The Self-Hosted Blogging Platform of Choice

WordPress, or WP as fans like to call it, is a popular blogging platform that allows users to publish content to the Internet in a very intuitive way ideal for beginners and technophobes through to journalists and the geekiest-tech-enthusiast. WordPress is hosted by themselves and lives at

Self-hosted (open source) WordPress has all the power of the hosted version but gives the user so much more control (and who doesn't like to be in full control! Oh the power!) over the customization of the WordPress files. For the added luxury of being able to really tweak the core code of WordPress, play around with plugins (plugins add extra functions to a WP powered site) and themes (themes are an easy way to completely change the look of a WordPress powered site without the need to spend a few years training as a web or graphic designer. PHEW!) Self-hosted WordPress are hosted by you on your hosting account and can be downloaded from

Now with the important foundation information out of the way, it is time to turn our attention to ET; no, not the extra-terrestrial who wanted to phone home but rather, ET, the loving abbreviation the fans of Elegant Themes like to use. So now you know your WP from your ET lets RV (RV is my abbreviation for review and I give you full permission to use it at your leisure and add a little bit of cool into your life).

Elegant Themes Theme Club

Elegant Themes design themes that can be uploaded to a WordPress powered blog to dramatically change the look and feel of the website. Let's face it, if you have the standard WordPress installation, you'll agree it all looks rather basic. Okay, it does what it does well, if you want a run-of-the-mill looking blog.

But you aren't run-of-the-mill and you certainly won't settle for average! Because I know this much about you, this is where Elegant Themes comes in and saves the day. You see, for a grand total of (please sit down before you read the price as it is a real shocker) $39 you can upgrade your basic theme to a premium theme that would look good walking down a runway at the glitziest fashion event.

Yes you did read that correctly, Elegant Themes Premium WordPress Theme club is an absurdly low $39. Here is the real kicker, an average premium WordPress theme costs around $50, quite a few are sold at $97 and some even sell for $147. For a single theme!

Well, Elegant Themes are charging $39 per year, that's a whole 365 days (excluding a leap year) where you will gain access to the club and can download your theme as many times as you like.

But that isn't all. To really sweeten the deal, your $39 doesn't just give you access to the one theme that caught your eye, but the entire catalog of Elegant Themes WP themes. As it stands right now, that would give you the ability to download 76 beautifully designed themes.

What's more, you will be able to download any new themes that are released (new themes are added every single month) for as long as you are a member. This makes Elegant Themes the most affordable theme club option on the Internet today!

Wait, before you run and join-up, did I mention that they also have a plugin that allow you to turn your blog into a mobile ready site, meaning your visitors using their cell phone, smart phone or iPad (for example) will see your sit in an optimized format suited for their device. Again, you get this and other plugins all included in your membership.

Why Would You Need 76 Premium WordPress Themes?

That's a great question and I'm glad I asked it! You see, whether you have one blog, a few blogs, or create a large number of WordPress powered sites for a client-base, for the incredibly low price-tag of just $39, Elegant Themes allows you to choose a theme at your leisure.

With 76 themes in their catalog, Elegant Themes will surely have a look that is right for your needs. The themes are built with a different look and purpose in mind, so it really doesn't matter if you want a video centric site, an image based site (ideal for professional photographers), a professional looking company site that is typical of content management systems rather than a blog, or maybe you just want to have an online resume, it doesn't matter, ET has seriously got you covered.

What else is great about being a member of the Elegant Themes theme club is, as soon as a new theme is released that catches your eye, you can have it downloaded and live on your site in a matter of minutes, no more paying web designers hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars to do this for you.

For the brave only! You even get access to the PSD (Photoshop) files so you can completely customize the look of your theme further ensuring your site is stamped with your personal touch.

Just for the record, the majority of my sites that I create use an Elegant Themes premium WP theme, they really are that good!

Lisawrite I use these themes, too. They are well worth the price. I have very few complaints at all and those are only in terms of some of the features. For $40, there is little to lose anyway. I use them on several sites with nearly no tweaking and on one of my sites with a lot of added customization and using the Elegant Theme as the framework. lisawrite Rating
