Is the HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All In One Printer Everything It's Hyped Up To Be?

The HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All In One Printer is a technological marvel!† Imagine being able to print great quality documents and photos from any computing devise anywhere in the house.† The wireless range is as impressive as are the number of features this printer boasts.

It prints, it scans, it faxes, copies and all at what I consider to be at the speed of light when compared to my previous printer that reluctantly printed each word at a painfully and excruciatingly slow pace.† In a blink of an eye this baby just spits out document after document with wild abandon.

Alas, I wish I could say that this is a perfect printer for every household on the planet, but I canít.†

You see, I have to confess that my personal HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All In One Printer is most definitely possessed by a malicious cyber bug that over time has turned downright demonic.† Now I donít know if this is true for every HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All In One Printer but unfortunately it is unhappily true for mine.

What I find quite bizarre is that while everyone else in my household can print to this devise without any issues, I can not.

When it is me that happens hits the print button, what do I get?

Nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

Now this wasnít always the case.†

During the first few months after I bought the printer, it†didnít discriminate at all.† But over time, the printer somehow managed to develop an affinity to know when it is me that is sending it the print order.† It then reacts immediately by taking itself offline and stubbornly refusing to communicate.†

Itís turned into such an ungrateful machine, especially since I know for a fact that the printer is well aware that I am its keeper.† After all, it is my hard drive that has given its software program a plush and well tended space to snuggle into.

I find it quite annoying that every single†member of my family†can send that darn printer reams of material and in return they all promptly receive crisp and professional looking documents and lovely lab quality photos while I get NOTHING.

Absolutely nothing.

Why me?†

How does that malicious cyber demon bug thatís taken up residence in my HP Printer know itís me so it can stage a massive tantrum and refuse to print whenever I happen to send it a command?†††Of course, each and every one of my family members blames me.† (They donít think I can hear then muttering under their breath that only a complete and utter moron could mess up the ability to print a document.)† Therefore, it is somehow all my fault.†

While I do confess to being a tad on the slow side comprehending all the new geeky stuff, I do happen to view myself as quite proficient when I need to select the print option.† I simply click my mouse like anyone else would do in order to send my document to the printer.† Of course, one then does expect to have the item actually print.† So Iím relatively confident that the problem cannot possibly relate to my meager abilities.

But I digress.†

The inexplicable behavior of my HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All In One Printer eventually reached new heights when it went totally rouge and that demented bug that has taken up residence morphed into a cyber torture machine.† That malicious demonic machine actually now manages to†randomly reach out into the wee hours of the night to scare the livíin beejeebers out of me.†

Yaí know all those documents that the demon printer consistently refuses to print for me?† Well, that dastardly hunk of possessed technological junk figured out a way to upchuck them Ėall at once mind you- in the middle of the night!† There is nothing like being startled awake at 2 am to the maniacal whirling of your printer feverishly spitting out documents all over the place!

Itís painfully obvious to me that this particular HP printer is truly, unequivocally, and without a doubt out to torment me.† (And for some bizzare reason, only me.)

Iíve wasted more time than I care to admit uninstalling and re-uploading its program.† Iíve reset it.† Iíve unplugged it for hours at a time to give it a bit of respite (and secretly hoping it will forget that it is somehow attuned to make only my attempts to print fail.)† I've upgraded it's drivers. And what do I get?†

Nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

As a matter of fact, I think all my efforts to restore all its printing capabilities (no matter who sends the command) has driven the d*man demon printer to substance abuse.† The once long-lasting ink cartridges (which HP claims supports thousands of beautifully printed pages) use to last for months on end.† But the ink cartridges are now being consumed at an alarming rate.†

Iím wholeheartedly convinced that this particular HP printer has become an insatiable inkaholic.†† That d*mn beast of a machine is now draining the extra large, super-duper, longest-lasting color and black cartridges at a shocking rate.† I have to tell you that†having to support a habit of†inkaholism is a very, very†expensive.

And what do I get for all my efforts?

Nothing.

Itís embarrassing to admit that I have actually found myself on more than one occasion silently begging that possessed demonic printer to. . . pretty please with a brand new red color cartridge on top . . .print just this once.† Iíve closed my eyes and chanted an impassioned prayer to the cyber gods before hitting the print button, I've scolded it, and Iíve even tried exorcism.† All to no avail.

My particular HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All In One Printer has simply become an All-In-One pain in my kabunzies.
So much for what HP describes as ď. . . outstanding, hassle free, versatile performance, along with lab-quality
photo prints.Ē†† Yeah right.†

Yet to be 100% objectively fair about this review, I do have to admit that our HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All In One Printer†(incredible as it may seem)†works just as advertised for everyone else in the family other than me.† They just LOVE that demented machine.† Me?† Iíd rather poke my eyes out with†the ink cartridge†needle than subject myself to any further print attempts to that miscreant.†

Grrrrr. . .†

I canít possibly imagine that anyone else on the face of the earth would ever encounter such a bizarre occurrence of a printer, any printer, even an HP printer, of becoming possessed by a malicious demonic bug attuned to just one person.† It's simply not normal.† Iím actually willing to bet that somehow, somewhere in the cyber universe all the HP 6500 wireless printers†met in a top secret conclave and decided I would be†the token chosen†human to torment.

No doubt†every other HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All In One Printer†behave marvelously (and as expected), providing
endless reams upon reams†of beautiful printed material for ever after.

I most heartedly recommend that when you purchase†your HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All In One Printer that you be extra nice to it!† You want it to like you so it will always happily spit out whatever you send it.
