HTP or Hydroxy Tryptophan is another key ingredient in Melatrol. It supports the natural production of Melatonin and helps ease stress and anxiety. 5-HTP is a natural extract taken from the seeds of the Griffonia tree. This tree is found in West Africa where it is used for treatment of several maladies. 5-HTP is usually well-tolerated, but in some cases mild gastric disturbances or light nausea may occur. However, such side effects tend to disappear quickly.
