Fun on the water all summer long? For under $400, read on...

Come spring and summer and everyone wants to get on the water.

Whether it be lake, stream, river, inlet, estuary or ocean what you really need is a boat!

But boats are expensive to buy, to store to upkeep aren't they? And we'd only use it for a few months. And we've nowhere to store a boat anyway.

Enter the Sea Eagle SE370 Inflatable Kayak (Pro Package).

For just $349.00 you get a lightweight and portable inflatable sport kayak, that inflates in just eight minutes and fits into its own duffle bag when you've finishing all that splashing around.

This package includes the 12'6" kayak, 2 paddles, 2 seats, a storage bag, a foot pump, a repair kit, and instructions.

Plus self-draining valves, inflatable spray skirts and floor skegs for better tracking and speed.

Easily portable, it carries two adults and gear, but can be transported and used by one adult. You can even bring your dog! - the rugged hull is tough enough to withstand dog paws and claws.

Use it for paddling, fishing, yacht tending, swimming, picnicking, exploring, fun! You can even take it on the river as it can handle whitewater up to class III.

Considerably cheaper than even the cheapest rigid kayaks, this is perfect for apartment dwellers, those with a small vehicle, camping trips and families.

So how is it put together? And how does it perform?

Pretty good on both counts, according to the customers.

'The hardest part of assembly is getting the valve cap keepers on the valve openings. They require some stretching to get them on and some of them won't stay on well. This doesn't affect the seal of the valve caps but it does keep them from getting lost or misplaced.' said one customer, who added. 'I pumped both boats up and pressure tested them for two days and all of the valves held pressure.'

'It easy to set up,' said another. 'The first couple of times might take you a bit longer than advertised, but after that, it's a smooth process.'
'We have just spent two weeks with the Sea Eagle on rivers in the California High Sierra,' adds another buyer. 'I was frankly surprised at the sea worthyness of this boat. It's well built, easy to inflate, easier to deflate and it even fits after use in the canvas bag it was delivered in. . . seats and foot pump included. It stayed dry inside, it tracked well even in class 3/4 white water, it took bumping on rocks, stones, concrete, asphault without any damage whatsoever.'
Sounds like a happy customer.

And he's not the only one. 'Kids loved it as well as me! I solo'd it to do some fishing. Kids teamed up to paddle around the lake. Buy it and enjoy !!!'

Like any boat it might take a bit of getting used to.
'I was expecting bad yaw characteristics which is usually a trademark of inflatable boats,' said one customer, 'but I was pleasantly surprised. The key is to start out with slow and light paddle strokes until up to speed and then the boat can be paddled with more power.'
And despite this product being an inflatable, buyers are happy with its construction and solidity.

'Construction: Solid. Seriously,' said one. 'It's been put through a fair bit since I bought it and it doesn't even have a scratch on it. There are a couple mud stains, but nothing else. No complaints here at all.'

Now you are not buying a performance kayak for serious white water here - but you are not paying that kind of a price either!

'In my case it was buy the Sea Eagle with paddles and air pumps for less than $400.00 or sit on the shore and watch others have fun,' said one owner.

It's not particularly fast doesn't drive a perfect line, either. But having said that many people are surprised how good it actually is on the water.
'All my friends and relatives were making fun of me for wanting to buy this inflatable kayak and even more when I actually bought it... But after taking them out to our local river and letting them use it, they have all being sold . It's a lot of fun. Not fast like a regular kayak but fast enough and definitely and lot easier to transport and very comfortable in the water.'
Can't say much fairer than that.

'I've used this a lot over the summer in creeks, lakes, and rivers and it's always a topic of conversation for people who are amazed at how sturdy it is after coming out of a bag from the trunk of my small car. Very stable, tracks well, easy to inflate and deflate. No problems!'

A couple of cautions from buyers: you have to make sure the boat is completely dry before you put it away to prevent mold and mildew, and moving it to the water can be an issue because of the single strap on the carry bag. 'Will dig into your shoulder on longer walks to the water.'

It's also important to fully inflate it; in 50 degree ocean water one dad found that he needed to pull over after a while to put some more air in after the water had cooled it.

But it's so versatile! Holds a lot of stuff: cooler, umbrella, poncho, bug spray, etc. 'You could easily pack a tent,' said one buyer.
'I can't think of a better or less expensive way to get out on the water and just have a little fun.'

So the customers are 'pretty dang happy.'

Stop talking yourself out of it! No more sitting by the lake for your family watching the others have fun.
