Before it became one of the best-animated programs to ever premiere on FOX, Bob's Burgers almost didn't make it. While that's the general theme of the show (somehow the restaurant always kind of survives), in reality, it was a lot scarier. A whole bunch of changes had to be made to the original script before any studio would touch the show. The biggest change occurred when the Belchers were changed to a regular burger joint owning family. What were they originally? CANNIBALS. You can still see a bit of the early inspiration in the premiere episode! The family gets their restaurant shut down due to fear of containing human meat. Did it? Guess it's time for a rewatch!
