If you've ever been to Maryland, you might wonder if the town of Chevy Chase gets its name from the actor or vice-versa. Well, apparently it's the latter. The star was born Cornelius Crane Chase, but his grandma started calling him Chevy Chase inspired by the Free State's affluent community.
