It's important to bring light to someone's negative actions, even after time has passed. Perhaps that's what James Franco was aiming for with The Deuce. Following the adult film industry in the 70s, the show isn't shy about revealing the more sordid details of what went on in those years. Though it seems Franco didn't learn from their mistakes. Unfortunately, life and art became a bit blurred for Franco during the show's run. Accusations arose about his own conduct off-screen. Once it looked like a case of art and life mimicking each other, fans were done with this show. The accusations continued to pile up even after filming wrapped.
